August is for play, so don’t even THINK of spending long hours at the office. Friends will begin to play a big part of your life once the new moon, August 2, appears. Saturn will be helpful to that new moon in Leo, so you may make a lifelong friend this month, or you may befriend an older person who can advise you on various topics in your life, or even become a mentor to you in business. The two weeks following this new moon, August 2, will be dotted with many lunches, dinners, visits to concerts and museums, shopping, and going to the movies and parties. You’ll be in your element, seeing friends and making new ones.
If you go to professional trade shows, mixers, conferences, and other industry events, many will be exciting – be sure you have a supply of business cards to give to those you’d like to know better. You may learn of lucrative new business you can bring in, or about a position that is just opening up that you should aim to get, because your background and experience would fit in perfectly. Your friend might even be willing to make the introduction.
A full moon in is due on August 18 – the only one of the year in Aquarius – and will light your fifth house of true love. This should bring on a positive romantic experience. If you are dating, you will want to decide where to take this relationship – to a more serious, exclusive level? Engagement? If you are not happy, you may agree to end your romantic relationship and agree to be “just friends” if you like. If you are attached, you may want to have a baby soon, or to plan to do something together, such as to take a long-awaited trip. Or, this lovely full moon may bring an important finish to a creative project, as one’s imagination resides in the solar fifth house. Keep in mind that Uranus, planet of surprise, will be active, so you should be pleased with the outcome.
If you have been working on your living space, but not making progress because you keep getting distracted with other things, you may see a change when Saturn goes direct on August 13. No matter what your goal – to fix up, renovate, de-clutter, buy, sell, or lease – you will see fewer obstacles and find opportunities that please you.
Mars will align with Saturn in Sagittarius on August 24, a day of risk. This is a warning not to drive when you are sleepy. Keep a new tire in your trunk, and keep your cell phone powered up. Skip extreme sports on the days surrounding August 24. Keep walkways clear and well lit. If riding a horse, choose a gentle one. (Sagittarius is associated with large animals like horses and camels, but it seemed doubtful to me that you would be riding a camel anytime soon.)
Finally, there will be two golden days that deserve a big star on your calendar. The first will be August 22, when Mercury will conjunct Jupiter, an annual event. This would be a great day to travel, to sign papers, or to have any sort of confidential meeting, including a job interview.
The second day will glitter even more. On August 27, Venus, your guardian planet, will link to Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, which is also an annual event. This day could bring news of a sum of money coming to you, or mark a day when a blind date goes exceptionally well. On August 27, your ruling planet, Venus, meets with Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, and that annual event always brings news – just about ALL of life should be sunny and bright. Stretch for something difficult to achieve – you’ll be impressive, persuasive, unforgettable, and most of all, you’ll be luckier than a Leprechaun.
