Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Welcome to the wonderful month of August, sure to be filled with opportunity, especially in terms of love. The new moon, August 2, will be in Leo, about to shine in your house of true love, giving you your best opportunity of the year to find new love. If you meet someone intriguing, don’t spend a lot of time listening to friends’ opinions of your new date – give that person a chance to reveal his or her qualities to you before deciding. Your friends may not give you correct advice in the first two weeks of the month, so keep your own counsel. You are under stellar aspects, so let things roll – all it takes is one person to change your life. If you are dating, August will open the doors for tender experiences together. If you are married, the same is true – this is your time to enjoy one another.

In your career, you’ll be super-creative in the first and second weeks of August, so spend time working on an important project. If you are ready, present your ideas in that first week, just after the new moon, August 2. If you are making a big career decision, make it on Monday, August 1 – with the Sun and Saturn in perfect sync, you will love the choice you make. Saturn will go direct on August 13, to stay strong and direct until April 7 of next year, so you have a good long period to make major career progress. This is such good news!  Until now, for months, you may have been working hard, but not seeing the recognition you deserve. All that changes now.

If you can’t give word about your career decision until late month, you must consider that Mercury will go retrograde August 30 until September 21. If you must say yes or no in late August, do your best to wait until after September 21 to give your final answer about a career opportunity. If that is not possible, take the job knowing you may change jobs again later. (The only exception to the rule is if you would be going back to a former boss or company you worked with and loved – in that case, accept the job with no worries. Mercury is pleased when you go back to a former situation.) Late September, and most of October and November will be solidly strong months, and for you, be some of the best of 2016.

You seem to be traveling for business this month, but if you hope to take a vacation, it appears you will need to bring your laptop along to do email and to make several important calls while you are on the trip. Do you recall the old saying, “What you don’t know can’t hurt you?” For you, just the opposite will be true on August 7, when Mercury, ruler of your sixth house of work projects will oppose foggy Neptune, and might make you misunderstood by co-workers, or alternatively, you might misunderstand the directives of your client or management. A full moon will occur on August 18 in your house of friendship. This will be a full moon that will come very close to being a lunar eclipse but missed being so on a tiny technicality. (You can Google this fact.) So August 18 is not an eclipse, but nevertheless, this full moon will show that something regarding a friendship is culminating, and will change the status of your relationship. Your friend may be getting married within five days of August 18 – you seem to be going to a fun social event. Uranus in Aries is due to bring a big surprise, so on the other hand, you won’t entirely expect what comes up, but the news will be as special and celebratory. With Uranus in gorgeous angle to the Sun and moon, you may meet someone at any elegant event you attend. If you are not going to a party, you may be going to a sporting event and enjoy screaming cheers for your team, and laugh all the way home about how much fun you had.

With your ruler, Mars, and Saturn closely aligned, within four days of August 24, be very careful of falls, possibly when traveling. These planets are in Sagittarius, ruling the hips. This would not be the time to do extreme sports – Aries loves to dare themselves to do crazy things that make the rest of us gasp, but August 24 would not be not the time to try a new sport!

The month ends with Mercury retrograde, August 30 to September 21. Wrap up talks and initiations early on, and keep your distance from the onset date of Mercury. When Mercury goes retrograde, August 30, Mercury acts like a little gremlin. He is Dennis the Menace near the “bookend” dates when he starts to go backward and later, when he resumes forward motion. Life will slow down, but that might just suit you fine.

Next month will bring two genuine eclipses, September 1 and 16, due to bring lots of changes, as eclipses are prone to do. You’ll not want to miss my forecast for September. It also brings the luckiest day of the year, as well as Jupiter’s impending move to Libra. Wow!

Taurus (April 20- May 20)

If you have been meaning to lease, buy, sell, renovate, or do repairs, schedule the painters, do a thorough cleaning, change your decor, or rent a beach cottage, you will have your chance at the graceful and encouraging new moon, August 2. Saturn will be on hand to coax you to do all you can to improve the value and beauty of your home. With Saturn so prominent at the new moon, any changes you make, you will like and live with a long time.

The full moon of August 18 will bring important, positive, and exciting developments to your career. News will arrive suddenly, with no warning. Every indication is that you will be overjoyed with the changes that come to you, and the fact that you don’t expect them will add to the thrill. Prepare to be decisive – a clear yes or no will be expected from you. If you have been having job interviews, talks will come to culmination, so by all means, stay in town and not on vacation near this full moon. It appears VIPs behind the scenes have been impressed with your performance – now you will reap the rewards.

If you were not privy to certain information going on behind closed doors, and you wish you had been invited into those talks, information will surface now. The fact that you may be moving house at the very start of the month may be related to upcoming career changes, or it may be that your rising status will allow you to upgrade your living standards. If you need to discuss money on any important matter, including your salary or fees, do so on your best day, August 22. Make no agreements when Mars conjoins Saturn, August 24, when you might overlook one or two sensitive details that could cause you to suffer a loss.

Next month, we will have two eclipses, September 1 and 16, putting an emphasis on your love life and your friendships. As you see, you are in the path of vast and improved change on all the important points of life – home, career, friends, and romance. This month, on August 5, Venus will enter the wildly compatible sign of Virgo until August 29 and will get the party started by lighting your house of love and fun.

Mercury will join Jupiter on August 21-22, increasing your chances of finding true love or coaxing you to celebrate the love you have now. This day will also be wonderful for talks about having a baby (especially with a fertility specialist) and for presenting a very creative idea that others will be so impressed with they will call you a rock star. This same day is excellent for seeing more earned income. All around, it’s hard to beat this day – but you can and will, on August 27.

Love-me planet Venus will join good fortune Jupiter, on August 27, a glorious five-star day for your love life. This is a weekend date, so by all means plan to be out and about – Venus will help you find love. Spend time fixing up your appearance now, for it would be hard to go wrong when Venus has her once-in-twelve years meeting with Jupiter in Virgo in your house of love and fun, in perfect angle to your Sun in Taurus. This aspect is as rare as diamonds.

The month closes with Mercury retrograde, August 30 to September 21 – hurry and get key talks wrapped up at least a week earlier.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

The emphasis in August will be on using your communication skills to their fullest. Writing, editing, public speaking, teaching, software coding, advertising copywriting, research, fact checking, translation, marketing, social media, public relations, and other types of the communication arts will come into play – here is your chance to strut your talents and stand out. As a Gemini, you are naturally skilled in this area, and the friendly new moon, August 2, will bring you several opportunities to showcase your abilities for all to see.

At last, you have no barriers to success, for with no adverse planets to throw you off course, you can achieve a lot. In fact, Saturn will support you at this new moon, so if you concentrate on your craft, you will have a chance to establish your skills, experience, and reputation on a new level. Indeed, August 2 brings one of the finest new moons of the year. The emphasis on intellectual and communicative pursuits will continue all month.

On the full moon in the compatible sign of Aquarius on August 18, to appear in your ninth house, distant travel and your relationships with people abroad may be on your mind. You may travel for fun, or you may work with a firm abroad. Alternatively, you may work with a firm based in your country, but discover that this company has its ownership and headquarters in a foreign country.

This area of the chart also rules publishing and broadcasting ventures, legal actions, and matters related to academia and your efforts to get a degree or to teach at university. One of these subjects will predominate, and in that area you will see important change and progress. The August 18 full moon is what scientists are calling an “almost lunar eclipse” – it misses being a full-fledged lunar eclipse on technicalities – but even so, something is coming to an important culmination. New information will arrive then, or a new venture will be initiated. There is always a huge amount of energy surrounding full moons, not only from you but from the team around you too. Full moons draw people together for a single purpose, and to reach a finish within four days of the full moon.

You may be traveling short distances throughout the month too, within 500 miles of your base. The reason seems to be for work, although you may also travel to see friends or your sibling, possibly to enjoy being in a vacation cottage.

Also this month, you may sign papers and get an advance on a book you are about to publish, have a movie studio buy an option on your screenplay, be given a chance to host your own TV or radio show, or get a an important new opportunity to work in social media, as a few examples. Whatever comes up will come up suddenly, and a friend seems to play a part in how talks start.

Two of the most gleaming aspects of the year will happen in late month. August 22 will bring an outstanding day (August 21-22, depending on your time zone), for your ruling planet, Mercury will meet with good fortune Jupiter, making for one of your best moments of the year. Matters related to home, property, and family matters will shine brilliantly. Sign papers on this day – and not any day later in the month. You can use this date for other purposes, too, for you will be favored over the completion.

Next, on August 27, loving Venus will meet with generous, good fortune Jupiter, again, giving your property and family matters a loving boost. Love should sparkle at this time – doubly so if you give a party at home.

Mercury will retrograde on August 30 to September 21, so enjoy August, and be productive early in the month.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Money will be on your mind throughout the month. A warm and friendly new moon, August 2, will give you a rare chance to ask for a raise in the days that quickly follow that new moon. If you are self-employed, you will find lucrative ways to bring in more business. Start working on your goal to increase your cash flow the moment the new moon arrives, and gather up the courage to ask for an increase. Saturn will be friendly to that new moon and will give you a comforting feeling of job security once you get an affirmative yes, which seems very likely. Mars will be in good angle to the new moon (although admittedly, a bit wide in orbit, mathematically), but nevertheless I feel you’ll want to act, and because Mars rules your house of fame and honors, you may get a promotion to boot. Speak up!

More talks about money will come up at the full moon of August 18. These talks will be even more intense, and will center on your salary but rather on money you owe others, as well as money they owe you. If you made an application for funds you need to work on a goal, such as to start your own business, go to college, or buy a house (among many possibilities), you will hear an answer back – you should get an exciting approval. Depending on how things have been going in your life, the full moon may have you thinking about taxes, credit cards, or student loans. This full moon will be emotional but could bring sudden good news thanks to Uranus, planet of surprise. This full moon seems to center you on your career too, so you may, alternatively, be negotiating a benefits package (health care, vacation days, and so forth) to go with your salary. Something about what happens financially near August 18 will surprise you in a positive way.

Be careful of falls or an injury to a bone or tooth when Mars conjoins Saturn on August 24 – it would not be the time to climb up on your roof to fix a tile or to parachute out of an airplane. Extreme activities are not wise on this day!

Mars recently went direct July 28, and by August 22 will be back to former strength. Watch August 22 for news that you may be propelled into a lot of exciting work at the office and a growing to-do-list at home. Events this month will move very quickly – Mars is in a fire sign, and fire is fast! You will be too busy to go on your vacation for this month, but be confident that the eclipses in September will bring you fun opportunities to pack and go.

August 22 will be a special time to travel for any reason, fun or business. Love seems to flourish on trips, so if you have someone special, see if you can plan a long weekend getaway from August 20 to 22, to get time to unwind and relax from the pressures of deadlines at work.

You will be able to take weekend trips, with August 27-28 your very best time. The love-me planet Venus will conjoin happiness planet Jupiter, making for a divine overnight holiday. The transiting moon will cooperate by transiting in Cancer. This is a weekend where everything goes your way. Alternatively, rather than travel, you can give a gathering at home – throw a barbecue, sit-down dinner, or ask friends in for cocktails, for over this weekend, all will enjoy the party to the fullest.

Mercury will go retrograde on August 30 to September 22. Any appliance, camera, computer item, or other electronic you own may bring problems, so you may have to run off to the repair shop at a moment’s notice. Back up your data as you work and you will stay happy. Avoid buying new electronics now, and appliances or a car, too.

Leo (July 23- August 22)

It’s August and you may have already celebrated your birthday in July, or are looking forward to doing so soon now. The cosmos wants you to kick up your heels, and to help you find ways to do that, you will have one of the best new moons of the year to help you on August 2, falling in Leo.

No matter what your goals happen to be, this exciting, warm, and friendly new moon will help you to progress beautifully toward grasping a dream that is dear to your heart. Saturn will be in ideal angle to that new moon, so if you hope to fall in love, maintain a great relationship, or get pregnant and have a baby is, Saturn will help you achieve all you hope to do. If, on the other hand, your goal is to excel on a creative venture, as Leos are known to do, this new moon will help you stand head and shoulders above the rest.

You might want to put a ring around August 16, sure to be a favorite day filled with surprise and happiness. If you need a day to talk about forming an international relationship, file immigration papers, or have an interview or test for immigration, this would be your day. You can set up a deal for import-export, or in academia – such as a day to defend your thesis – or get good news about a broadcasting or publishing project, or offer an idea to the other party during a court trail to get things resolved. Do any of these on this sparkling day. If you write for a living, you may get one of your books translated into another language now.

You will have a powerful full moon on August 18, in Aquarius, ruling the state of your committed relationship. Uranus will be active, so positive, unexpected news is likely to come up involving one close relationship. You may get engaged or wed, but if you have been unhappy, you might break up. Because this full moon is so darling in every way, an upsetting outcome is highly unlikely. One thing is for sure – it will give you closure on the state of one close relationship within four days of August 16.

You could receive excellent news about money, August 22, when Mercury (deals) will conjoin Jupiter (growth and profit) and meet in your salary and personal wealth house. News would arrive as a phone call, email, or by letter, informing you that you have been approved a raise, or you may be heading to a better job that will pay you generously.

If you need to sign papers, you need to sign early in the month. You can sign on August 1, when the Sun, your ruler, will be in sync with Saturn, planet of long-term gain. Or, sign on August 22, one of the best days of all of 2016 to do so.

August 26 or 27 could bring more exciting news about money that should come to you, or it may be that you will be ready to buy something very expensive.

By September 1, a powerful solar eclipse may change the source of income for you, and all the news will be news you love.

When Mercury goes retrograde, August 30 to September 21, you should not sign any papers, and certainly not near an eclipse (September 1 and 16 next month). If you cannot have the paperwork ready this month, put off until late next month.

Dear Leo, you have a month filled with opportunity and joy – get started by rolling up your sleeves and looking at all the possibilities you have before you. If you look, you will find them.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

The new moon, August 2, will light your house of secrets, so you may be working on something highly confidential and need to keep things under wraps for several months. The emphasis on confidentiality could work in another way, when you might decide to see a psychotherapist to gain clarity on a topic that has troubled you so that you can feel whole and in balance again.

The theme of healthy mind and healthy body and spirit will run through most of the month. The month will be quiet, so you will have time to make those medical appointments you’ve been meaning to schedule with your doctor or dentist. You will have time to have your eyes checked to see if your prescription has changed, do your mammogram or prostrate exam as the case may be, or have a colonoscopy.

Your health will become more of a priority at the full moon August 18, in Aquarius. You may decide that this is the right time to schedule a hospital exam, procedure, or surgery that you’ve put off. If so, schedule it in August. Uranus will be friendly to this full moon, a good sign that you’ll likely have a happy resolve, assuming you’ve done your research and have faith in your doctor.

At work, you may see co-workers come and go, or a trusted assistant leave. Certainly an important project is nearing completion and you will have to pace yourself as not to become overworked and overtired – this project will require a strenuous effort. If you need help, you won’t have time to hire and train new recruits. It would be best to hire after Mercury, your ruler, is finished retrograding anyway. (Mercury will retrograde from August 30 to September 22.) You can interview candidates all month, but you would be best to put off choosing the one(s) you will hire you want – name your choices in late September.

At home, you may want to move forward but be frustrated with delays especially on or very near August 24. Mars will align with Saturn, and this is a stop-go aspect. Take a deep breath – better days are due all month, as you will soon see. With Mars causing noise in your home, you may have workmen there, you may be moving, or you may be entertaining up a storm and have guests in your guest room (or on the sofa), too.

One of very best days of the month will be August 22, when your ruler, Mercury will meet with Jupiter in Virgo – a truly glorious and exceedingly rare aspect. Although these two planets will align again, this aspect won’t happen again in Virgo for 12 years. This could be an exceptional day for your career or for anything dearly important to you, personal or professional.

The other stellar day, equally rare, will be August 27 when Venus will align perfectly with Jupiter in Virgo, and this date falls over a weekend. You may travel to a distant city, or you may discover that a generous check is heading your way too. You will be ultra-alluring and magnetic too over this weekend – this is your time to shine. If you are attached, you can plan a surprise for your partner. If you are single, circulate or schedule this day for a first date. If you hope for a baby, news should be exciting. If you have had problems with conception, see a fertility doctor in the days leading to August 27 as the aspect builds.

Next month brings an eclipse in Virgo September 1 and in your marriage / partnership sector September 16. Life is changing for you, but always for the better.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

August is for play, so don’t even THINK of spending long hours at the office. Friends will begin to play a big part of your life once the new moon, August 2, appears. Saturn will be helpful to that new moon in Leo, so you may make a lifelong friend this month, or you may befriend an older person who can advise you on various topics in your life, or even become a mentor to you in business. The two weeks following this new moon, August 2, will be dotted with many lunches, dinners, visits to concerts and museums, shopping, and going to the movies and parties. You’ll be in your element, seeing friends and making new ones.

If you go to professional trade shows, mixers, conferences, and other industry events, many will be exciting – be sure you have a supply of business cards to give to those you’d like to know better. You may learn of lucrative new business you can bring in, or about a position that is just opening up that you should aim to get, because your background and experience would fit in perfectly. Your friend might even be willing to make the introduction.

A full moon in is due on August 18 – the only one of the year in Aquarius – and will light your fifth house of true love. This should bring on a positive romantic experience. If you are dating, you will want to decide where to take this relationship – to a more serious, exclusive level? Engagement? If you are not happy, you may agree to end your romantic relationship and agree to be “just friends” if you like. If you are attached, you may want to have a baby soon, or to plan to do something together, such as to take a long-awaited trip. Or, this lovely full moon may bring an important finish to a creative project, as one’s imagination resides in the solar fifth house. Keep in mind that Uranus, planet of surprise, will be active, so you should be pleased with the outcome.

If you have been working on your living space, but not making progress because you keep getting distracted with other things, you may see a change when Saturn goes direct on August 13. No matter what your goal – to fix up, renovate, de-clutter, buy, sell, or lease – you will see fewer obstacles and find opportunities that please you.

Mars will align with Saturn in Sagittarius on August 24, a day of risk. This is a warning not to drive when you are sleepy. Keep a new tire in your trunk, and keep your cell phone powered up. Skip extreme sports on the days surrounding August 24. Keep walkways clear and well lit. If riding a horse, choose a gentle one. (Sagittarius is associated with large animals like horses and camels, but it seemed doubtful to me that you would be riding a camel anytime soon.)

Finally, there will be two golden days that deserve a big star on your calendar. The first will be August 22, when Mercury will conjunct Jupiter, an annual event. This would be a great day to travel, to sign papers, or to have any sort of confidential meeting, including a job interview.

The second day will glitter even more. On August 27, Venus, your guardian planet, will link to Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, which is also an annual event. This day could bring news of a sum of money coming to you, or mark a day when a blind date goes exceptionally well. On August 27, your ruling planet, Venus, meets with Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, and that annual event always brings news – just about ALL of life should be sunny and bright. Stretch for something difficult to achieve – you’ll be impressive, persuasive, unforgettable, and most of all, you’ll be luckier than a Leprechaun.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

It may be August, when lots of people take a holiday, but you will need to stay in town, for you will have a big chance to make a name for yourself in your career. A major change in your family, home, or other property you might own or rent will also be on your mind.

In terms of your career, it will get a big, exciting boost the moment you start the month, thanks to the new moon, August 2. In the two weeks that follow this date. You might get an exciting promotion or an offer from a competitor to join their company. If you are self-employed, new business or positive publicity should put your name on the big marquee in your industry. Saturn will be especially friendly to this new moon, indicating that not only are you capable of getting a glorious new title, but also be given a solid salary, one that give you a very comforting sense of security.

The full moon August 18 will light your house of home, property, and family, and this full moon could easily cause instant changes there, too. Watch for news or events within four days of this full moon. If you have been looking for a new place to live, you will likely settle everything by mid-month. Be ready to roll on any event involving your home space, other property you might own or want to rent (such as a vacation home), or a plan you may have to help one of your parents. When good news arrives, it will happen fast and out of the blue, thanks to Uranus, planet of surprise.

Until this month, your ruler, Mars, was moving through Scorpio. Having had your ruler in your own sign was a big plus. The efforts you made during those months are likely to start to pay off now – not all of them, but the lion’s share of them – now that Mars is moving into Sagittarius on August 2 to stay until September 27. Your spending has been high from March to June, and will start climbing again in August and September. This may make you more determined to increase your cash flow. Your focused efforts to bring in more money will pay off, but may reach a frustrating stalemate on August 24, when Mars (go!) aligns with Saturn (stop!). Saturn will win this round, and you’ll have to step back and rethink a purchase, investment, or other financial commitment. The logjam will be released after August 24 – give it two days space.

If you need to sign papers, do so when Jupiter aligns with Mercury on August 22. If you are working on an agreement involving commission, royalties, fees, sales, or profits, this is when to make your deal. On this same day, you may see how much a friend truly cares for you, and she or he may give you an industry tip, special support, or recommendation that will help you enormously.

Another important day will occur over the weekend of August 27, when Venus will align with Jupiter, an annual event. This would be a special weekend to go away to a beautiful spot with your partner, for if you do, love will blossom and increased closeness will result.

Speaking of romance, if you are single, the tour of Venus through Virgo will be a positive development for you, August 5 to August 29. You’ll be with friends more than usual too, and when it comes to romance, it is through a friend, or at a friend’s party, where you are likely to make the introduction. Clearly, the weekend of August 27-28 will give Scorpios who are attached the cosmic edge, but even single Scorpios will do well under this rare and quite dazzling aspect. If you are a single, August 27 will be your best point in the season to have that fateful meeting. Look sharp – Venus in Virgo suggests that your appearance will count, right down to the details.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Nothing makes a Sagittarian happier than the prospects of an exciting trip abroad. The sunny new moon of August 2 in fellow fire sign Leo will shine in your ninth house, which rules international travel and your relationships with people abroad. You may travel for pleasure or business, but either way, your trip will have positive, long-term developments. If you cannot travel, you may be making a deal with a company or individual abroad, and talking over the phone and email. Saturn, now in Sagittarius, will be beautifully oriented to that Sun and moon, making this the best time in the year to take off on a jet plane to the place you have dearly hoped to see someday.

Your actions will have weight this month, especially in the first ten days, so use this new moon to reach a dream important to you. If travel or work abroad is not on your list of priorities, there are other possible outcomes to this gorgeous new moon of August 2, which will clearly be one of the best new moons of 2016. You may get an exciting project for the media – a cover story for a magazine, be asked to be the director of an important documentary segment for television, or start a blog with your own byline. Alternatively, if you need to make legal moves now, those are likely to go your way. Plans that you set in motion to attend college in September should fill you with excitement.

You have an important full moon, August 18, that will center your attention on the way you earn your income. Alternatively, a large purchase may be concluded or delayed. It is also possible that a new revenue stream will appear when you may also conclude a big financial deal. You may travel a short distance at this time, but if so, be back by Sunday, August 21. After that, your career will be on fire.

Sign papers this month on August 22, four days after the full moon. Mercury, the planet that rules your solar tenth house of fame and honors, will be meeting with good fortune Jupiter, an annual event. Two more spectacular days will be August 26-27, when Venus will align with Jupiter, in this same tenth house of prestigious achievement. This will be a new moon eclipse, opening a door wide, and on September 16, a full moon lunar eclipse will bring changes to your home. Get ready – all eyes will soon be on you. If you were running for office, this is the time the balloons will be released from the ceiling, people will be cheering, and you will be giving your acceptance speech. You have now reached the most exciting point of 2016. It will be memorable!

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

In case you assume nothing much happens in August, think again. It is true that people do go on vacation, but you have a great deal of emphasis on money this month. First, the new moon August 2 will have you thinking about money you owe others and money others might owe or give you. The house being lit up rules other people’s money, so it’s very possible you will now apply for a loan, mortgage, refinancing plan, or university financial aid. Or, you may put in a claim for medical or homeowners or renters insurance. By all means, make out applications and send them in.

This new moon will be filled with financial opportunity. Saturn, your ruler, will be in fine angle to this new moon, so this makes it a perfect time to be focused on money. If you are seeking funding, you should be encouraged by the answers you get, and if you owe money, such as for taxes or student loans, you can work out a payment plan that suits your needs. The outcome of actions you take within ten days that follow this new moon August 2 will make you feel more secure and settled for the entire year to come, thanks to Saturn – venture forth. If you are in the process of a divorce and need to find a fair division of property, this new moon will open the door to a settlement that will be agreeable to both sides.

A bigger financial moment will occur at the full moon August 18, which will switch your attention to your salary and savings. A financial matter is reaching a final point, and once that conclusion is reached, you will be able to close that chapter. It appears a new source of income may suddenly appear, too. The planet of unexpected developments, Uranus, will be active and friendly, so you might hear that you are getting a raise or find other ways you can boost your income. There is a very strong indication that you may sell property at this point, or sell contents of a house – yours or someone else’s, such as that of a relative. Or, if you hope to buy furniture or other items for your home, you may find a bargain in August. Opportunity will arrive in a very offhand, unusual way. Indeed, you may find you are at the right place at the right time, with all the right qualifications to take advantage of all.

Don’t push too hard on August 24, when Mars will meet Saturn toe-to-toe. Protect your teeth and bones on this day too by watching where you walk, and keeping hallways and stairways clear and well lit. Also don’t chomp on anything that could harm your tooth enamel, including crunching on ice or hard candy. Doing so could prove expensive to fix if you damage a tooth.

If you are graduating this month, it appears you may get honors at your commencement ceremony. Travel abroad would be outstanding for you if you were away during the week that holds August 22, when Mercury and Jupiter will conjoin for the first time this year. This is a golden, rare day, and because these two planets will fall in Virgo, an earth sign like yours, so you will get a double dip of pleasure. You can alternatively apply this aspect to succeed in other academic goals, such as to defend your thesis or to score a breakthrough in the media, as the subject of a big story, or as the journalist / producer of one.

As a Capricorn, you care about your reputation, and you need to see steady career progress. For that reason, month’s end should bring good news – the alignment of Venus, ruler of your tenth house of honors, achievement, and fame, governing popularity and profit, awards and achievement, will link to good fortune Jupiter on August 26-27. These are outstanding days for opportunity to come up – take seriously any and all offers.

Finish talks as soon as you can in August – Mercury will retrograde August 30 to September 21. You might want to vacation during this time – everyone will miss you, but you’ll be having the time of your life.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

This will be a big month, for a romantic or business partnership will be very much on your mind. Fortunately, August will have none of the delays and re-dos of previous months – you have a solidly strong month until Mercury turns retrograde August 30 until September 21. Until that happens, you will achieve much, and will likely end the month with the exciting prospect of seeing yourself in an entirely new light.

At the very start, your life will be glowing. August 1 brings Venus and Uranus in ideal sync. This is a flirtatious, breezy influence, perfect for meeting someone new. Venus will be in warm-heated, fire-sign Leo, and Uranus, in fire-sign Aries – both blend perfectly with your air-sign element of Aquarius.

On August 2, you will have an exceptionally supportive new moon in Leo, opening a path toward a coming together with a partner, in love or business. This will be no ordinary new moon – this one is filled with sugar and spice. If you feel you are at the stage where you are ready to make a commitment, do it within the ten days that follow that new moon. Saturn will be elegantly positioned to this new moon, adding a very strong element of longevity to all your actions. If you are already committed in marriage or an established relationship, you can nevertheless draw up plans to accomplish a new dream that you both share.

If you are single and not dating, your best days will be, as said, August 1, and also August 16, when the Sun and your ruler, surprise-a-minute Uranus, will trade friendly beams.

A very big day will occur on the full moon in Aquarius, August 18, a time when something of great importance to you will come to fruition. This will be a key moment in the year. You might also take stock of your priorities, study your disappointments and setbacks, your progress and triumphs, and decide what should come next. This is a very happy moment for you, and I feel, a time of celebration. You may decide to do a radical change to your looks too, for the changes within you are going deep – proof of that often are shown with a change in appearance. With your own ruler so very positively oriented to that full moon, you may announce a sudden decision – and with a new moon so friendly, that decision will likely be one you’ve thought through, are sure about taking, and are excited to announce.

In love, as you see, attached Aquarians will do best. However, as mentioned earlier, August 1 will be a blue-ribbon day, when you may quite suddenly feel Cupid’s arrow of love. Venus will be in Leo during the first four days of August, another plus.

On August 16, the Sun and Uranus will trade signals, and you again will benefit in matters of the heart. Attached or single, this day is for you. If you are traveling during this week, this day will be a standout. Are you attached? The Sun is the natural ruler of your solar seventh house of partnership and marriage, and because your ruler is having a meeting with the Sun on your behalf, exciting results should surface. As you see, this day has goodies for all Aquarians, single, married, or in a long-term established relationship.

News about love or money – or both – could be thrilling on the day Mercury conjoins Jupiter, a once-a-year event, on August 21-22. If you are single, socialize, for this day will glow like a twinkling star in the midnight sky. If you are attached, and have had problems conceiving or keeping a pregnancy, see a fertility specialist on August 22.

Another peach of a day will be August 27, when Venus will have her annual meeting with Jupiter. What a lovely day this will be for travel over long distances. Alternatively, you may find profit from a sale of real estate or of home-related possessions if you hold a tag sale. Alternatively, you can find gorgeous design choices for your home – be sure to browse. Wait until after Mercury goes direct next month (August 30 to September 21) to buy large, expensive furniture or other items for the home. Hold off on buying all electronic items too, including a car, computer, smart phone, camera, kitchen appliances, and other big electronic expenditures.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

A particularly beautiful new moon on August 2 will make August the right time to address health matters. If you have put off seeing your doctor or dentist, make that call – with such superb aspects, especially from Saturn, the planet of long-term gain, you are likely to find your medical experience positive. Often the difference between being very healthy and not healthy at all will come down to making that one telephone call for an appointment. Additionally, as an aside, surprisingly good news about your health or fitness may come to you on August 16, when Uranus (surprises) reaches out to the Sun (health and vitality).

Going back to the same new moon, August 2, at that time you will be able to find and land new business if you are self-employed, or, if you are employed by others, you have a superb chance of being given the most juicy, plum assignments of the department, so ask for them. The admiration you gain from VIPs and co-workers alike from your fine performance this month will be lasting and contribute to your ever evolving, growing reputation. With Saturn in your house of fame, you are in a very important phase, when you can establish yourself as an expert in your field, and garner applause and honors as soon as December.

Saturn will go direct this month on August 13, and this means that after months of being retrograde since March 25, you will see amazing progress now in your career.

By August 18, the full moon in Aquarius, you may want to withdraw from social activity and treat yourself to quiet solitude. Pisces likes solitude and generally do their best thinking when alone, and because you absorb the feelings of others so easily – like a sponge – you need time to rinse yourself of other’s cares so you can return to a sense of peace and balance. This full moon would be a good time to exercise gently, pray, reflect, and to work in a leisurely way on your craft. Uranus, the planet of genius, in fine angle to the full moon, will shower you with brilliant ideas. You might come up with a highly profitable one – Uranus is currently positioned in your second house of earned income and personal wealth. Share your ideas!

Your home, property, or a member of your family may bring sensational news on August 22, when Mercury will align perfectly with good fortune Jupiter. Your established partner, possibly in marriage, or in business, or a broker or other middleman seems to hold the key to your happiness and success on August 22.

Your partnership / marriage house will be lit brightly again by the meeting of Venus and Jupiter on August 27 in a very joyous aspect. Do you remember the song, “Aquarius”? Think about the part that goes, “When the moon is in the seventh house” (you will have that at the eclipse September 1) “and Jupiter aligns with Mars”…. Well, you don’t have Jupiter aligning with Mars, but you have something better – Jupiter will align with Venus, the planet of love, in your seventh house of marriage. That means, as the song continues, “Then peace will guide the planets, and love will steer the stars.” Your forecast for experiencing deeply committed, joyous love is outstanding and so very possible this month.

This is as good as it gets, dear Pisces. Keep in mind that this is the first time Venus will align with Jupiter in your solar seventh house of marriage and partnership in several decades, so these days will be as rare as diamonds. Even if you are attached a long time, it still can be a tender, touching time for you both. Carve out time for each other and do something special on this weekend date. Giving your full attention to the person you love without any distraction is the finest gift you could ever give.

Finish up all your plans by month’s end. Mercury will go retrograde from August 30 to September 22. You may enjoy the slow pace of September. You will have a chance to think, to reconnect with old friends, and if you are newly dating, to decide about the future of your new relationship. If you decide an ongoing love relationship is not for you, you will leave. Overall, however, you have such sensational aspects, it seems only love will be in your eyes this month.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Just days ago, Mars, your ruler, went direct course after months of going at a snail’s pace in retrograde. It’s been a long wait – Mars became weak in early April even before the retrograde started, finally went officially retrograde April 17, and at long last, went direct on June 29. Why does this matter? Mars is the booster rocket to all your important initiations. A powerful booster rocket takes the big heavy rocket that is aimed to, let’s say, the moon. Once the little booster gets the rocket high enough and in the right orbit, he falls away, salutes the astronauts, and goes on his way, confident he has directed the big powerful rocket correctly on course. Do you get the idea?

Let me say this a different way, just in case you don’t get what I am saying. Let’s say you want to cook a great vegetable soup – you chopped the beautiful fresh vegetables, put your pot on the stove, and tried to turn on the gas on the stove, but there was no flame. That’s what it is like when Mars is retrograde. It is hard to get things cooking.

Mars’ position in a chart suggests where your main attention will be drawn for a period of time. Mars went into Sagittarius on March 5, so your mind has been on a person or an entire group of people (possibly relatives, friends, or business associates) based in a distant city. Yet things have not been entirely easy. Mars retrograde has been on low power, so you had to provide the energy yourself. Now things will be easier. You will notice a quicker pace – and you may have already started to feel things pick up noticeably as June wound down to the end. It is always wise to look at the events that surround the turning of a planet from retrograde to direct. Allow five days before and after June 29. Have a look at your appointment calendar and your recent emails – there lies important clues to your new, stronger direction.

As you begin July, you have a friendly new moon, July 4, in Cancer 13 degrees, and the Sun, Venus, and Mercury, all in Cancer, will accompany that new moon. You can now make great progress in terms of your residence or other property you may own or rent. In regard to family matters, you may be thinking quite a bit about one special person. Or, you may have grand plans for a move, redesign, or the purchase of new furniture. You might simply want to buy new linens or a comfortable, heavenly mattress. So many planets aligned in one part of your chart show likelihood of great progress. Even if you say you have no money to spend on home, you may get lucky and find new additions at bargain prices. Mars will be in your house of credit cards and loans, but in elegant angle to Venus (to be exact July 6, but within range all that week of July 4 to 9). It seems you may have to put out more money than you had planned, but the item of great beauty you see may be worth the extra cost, for you may love it forever.

At the same time as this new moon, an assignment may come in, pay well (or go very smoothly), and most importantly, ignite your imagination. Neptune will also be in alignment with this new moon, and it will also bring opportunities to show your creativity. Pluto will still be within important range of Jupiter, too, an indication for growth and profit, but here is the little problem. Pluto will oppose the gang of planets partying in Cancer in your house of home. This suggests that you will feel a bit torn between demands of work and those of home in coming weeks. You may want to refresh your home and make it more reflective of the real you, but at the same time, demands of your boss or clients will keep you wedded to your desk. See how this works out.

Before you get to the new moon, on July 4, you have one sweet day, July 2, when Venus and Jupiter will be beautifully oriented. Again, this is another indication you are bent on finding the right things to bring to your home, and at the right price. If you have a partner or roommate, that person will be on board with all your plans to make your space more inviting and comfortable. Another standout day will be July 8, when Mercury and Jupiter will be in perfect alignment, in a mathematical aspect called a sextile, denoting opportunity. You would have to do something to get the benefits of a sextile – it won’t come by itself. It’s a perfect day to give a talk, sign papers, hand in your manuscript for a book, defend your thesis, or give a presentation. Mercury rules all communication, and it also rules travel, another wildly favorable option.

The weekend of July 16 brings mixed messages. On one hand, the Sun and Uranus will be at odds, but on the other hand, Mars and the Sun will be in ideal alignment. Mars and the Sun will combine energy to make you feel your very best – strong, courageous, and ready for strenuous undertakings. The Uranus challenge to the Sun will give you a need for freedom. This is a potent weekend, and it might be easy to overestimate your powers, so by all means, feel strong, but within realistic bounds. What I am trying to say here is that extreme sports (and other daring moves, physical, emotional, or financial) might be better left to another date and time.

The full moon in Capricorn 28 degrees on July 19 will light your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, a very important moment in the year. This is the one and only full moon you will have in this part of your chart, so be keyed to what happens. Again, aspects will be mixed. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will have a strong supportive role, and that’s key to this full moon – it seems you will do very well, and a project you have been working on will be revealed and is about to bring all sorts of praise and publicity. Mars is in a position to give you even more support, and now that Mars is stronger than ever in direct speed in your ninth house, ruling travel, the media (broadcasting, publishing, the Internet, and digital world), and matters regarding the attainment of higher education, one of these areas will glow for you. You will also have good news in regard to legal affairs.

The only planet that won’t be cooperative at the full moon July 19 will be unpredictable Uranus. Now in Aries, Uranus will be at odds with this full moon and will throw in some sort of unexpected twist into the situation. Stay on your toes and keep your eyes in 360-mode. Because Uranus is in Aries, I feel duty bound to tell you that it might be you that overturns things with an impulsive remark you may blurt out. This is the only planet that can cause surprises, so keep your antenna up, and just when you feel like doing something impulsive – don’t. Keep in mind that the other two planets – Mars and Jupiter, so helpful now – are on the board of directors of the solar system. In fact, you may even be told that a bonus, commission, or other good financial news is on the way.

Romantically, things are looking up, especially in August, but you may see glimmers this month, too.

Sunday, July 10, will bring so much enjoyment to you when the Sun and happiness planet Jupiter will work together. Travel a short distance, be outside with your children and partner, or be with the person you are dating. Go hiking or take a long walk, create a classic picnic, or if you stay home, have a gathering or cook up a dinner with the person you love. You cannot go wrong on this magical day.

Venus will move into Leo on July 11, to stay until August 4. This is such good news, for Leo rules your fifth house of true love, and it is also a fire sign like you are with your Aries Sun. Shortly thereafter, the Sun will also move into Leo on July 22 for a month. You most likely way to find love will be not at work but through social events, while relaxing. While Venus is gracing your sign, go shopping for new things to wear – things you love so much that you will want to tear off the tags and wear that outfit that night. Venus will help you find the most flattering things for you.

The month will end with a lovely aspect on July 26, Mercury, now in Leo, in tight favorable angle to Uranus in Aries. You may hear very good news – possibly about love, in the form of a text, email, or phone call or even by express mail. Or, you may decide to travel spontaneously, and if so, it will be such a fun trip!

Taurus (April 20- May 20)

Life is improving every day, dear Taurus. The first day, July 1, brings a hopeful sign – Venus, your ruler, will be in magical angle to Jupiter, the great good fortune planet. This will link love to travel, so as July opens, consider a taking a long weekend trip. I will explain why I feel a trip would be so very good for you this month.
On July 4, you have a new moon in Cancer at 13 degrees that will light your third house of short, quick travel. Accompanying that elegant new moon will be the Sun, Venus, and Mercury, all in Cancer, a water sign that blends perfectly to your earth-sign Sun of Taurus. A location that includes lush greenery in a beautiful mountainous setting would be the perfect place for you now. With Cancer strong, be sure the setting is located near water as well – put those together and you have the makings of a sumptuous getaway. Cancer is a family sign, perfect for bringing your partner and children – you will find them cute as can be, even if they are older now!
Associated with this new moon will be Jupiter and Mars, both highly supportive of the new moon, bringing you outstanding chances for romance and fun. Jupiter is still in Virgo, making you the sign most likely to fall in love or thoroughly enjoy love (at least until September 9, the date when Jupiter will leave this placement). If you have already found your one true love, you can deepen your relationship. It matters not if you are single or married, dating a short time or a long time – every Taurus will benefit from this new moon, as long as you travel. (No need to go far!) All new moons open a window of opportunity that last ten days or more, and might affect you for a year or more – delightfully so. The way astrology works best is to make an effort to use the goodness behind the new moon.
If your birthday falls on May 3, plus or minus five days, this new moon will be speaking directly to you. This would also be true if you have Taurus rising 13 degrees, or a natal planet of that degree in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, or Taurus, all plus or minus five degrees. If you know your chart and fall within those mathematical guidelines, then the chances are you will be packing your bags.
I will admit that Uranus will be in hard angle to the crowd of planets in Cancer on the new moon July 4, so we all have to expect Uranus to throw something into the spanner that will require quick thinking (this is true for every sign). The unexpected event might have something to do with your career – for example, you might have to save a deal or project that will be rolling off the rails, or it might be that mechanical problems related to electronics, computers, or the moving parts of a machine will need your attention. Try as you may, it is almost never possible to guess what Uranus, planet of unanticipated events, is about to bring up.
I have meditated about the meaning of this Uranus, and I feel that the cosmos has a plan for us and interjects Uranus’ unpredictability so that we will learn to become resourceful, flexible, agile, and creative when we meet up with obstacles we don’t expect. When Uranus is well aspected, we get unexpected help. That won’t happen in the first half of July – you’ll have to roll up your sleeves and think your way out of the situation, but the point is that you can.
Just days after the new moon, we have a lovely day coming up, when Venus in Cancer will be in ideal angle to Mars in Scorpio, both beautifully angled to your love and commitment houses. This day will exert just the right level of electricity to make a first meeting memorable and romantic. It will also help other Taurus who just want more fun with their partners. This is a warm and sexy vibration, just made for you.
I also love July 8, when Mercury will receive golden beams from Jupiter, an ideal day to sign a contract, making an agreement, and again, for travel. (I know I say this over and over that you should plan a getaway this month! I can’t help it – the stars have a plan for you now, and it is very clear!) Mercury rules your solar second house of income, so you may get very good news about a sum of money that will be due to you now or soon.
The weekend of June 9-10 should be heavenly. Jupiter, the good fortune planet, will work with the Sun to bring on a highly romantic time. This is a somewhat rare aspect, especially because Pluto is about to add his gifts to Jupiter too, still within range of an aspect these two planets made on June 26. Pluto and Jupiter creep across the sky. (Pluto takes 258 years to circle the Sun, so you can imagine.) The moon will be in Virgo, a fellow earth sign, and on July 9, that moon will join with Jupiter in your fifth house of love. It’s hard to imagine a more stunning, happy weekend for love.
More travel is indicated later in the month, for on July 19 at the full moon in Capricorn, you will have the chance to journey quite far and love it even more than the first trip. In fact, because this is a full moon in Capricorn 28 degrees, it can bring a finish to your travels within four days after the date the full moon appears. The trip you take later, to a more distant location, appears to be for work, such as to see a client to generate profits. Generous Jupiter will be in elegant angle to the lunation protecting your finances. If you are doing import-export, or any international work, the way things go should please you. If you have a middleman, such as an agent or broker to represent you, that person will watch out for your interests. If you decide to go for a romantic trip instead, that, too, will work out really well.
If your birthday falls on May 18 plus or minus four days, you will feel the powerful, uplifting effect of this full moon. Similarly, if you have Taurus rising 28 degrees (or close to that degree), or a natal planet or moon at 28 degrees (plus or minus five degrees) in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, you, too, will benefit.
Venus, your ruler, will be in Leo from July 11 to August 4, so when you come home from your travels, you will enter into an ideal time to do entertaining. This same period would be ideal for finding ways to embellish your home by adding plants or flowers, new accessories, or other touches to make it more enticing and modern.
A fantastic day for your career will be July 27 – a Wednesday – so don’t be away on vacation at then. Mercury will receive an electric beam from Uranus, so good news about your career will arrive suddenly and without any warning, because Uranus is the planet of surprise.
Uranus will go retrograde on July 29, and stay retrograde until December 29. This means your very best opportunities will happen now, prior to July 29. After Uranus starts retrograding, you will be wise to look at what professional choices you have made and see what projects are on your plate now – you will have a great chance to improve on the projects already in progress.
As you end the month and start thinking about August, it appears your home will gain much more of your attention then, as a sweet new moon is set to arrive August 2. It is one of the nicest ones of the year for you to make home-related progress. In the meantime, travel, and have a good time in July for this month, travel and romance are linked.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

It is time to ask for a raise. If you are self-employed, gradually raise your rates this month to see the response – chances are your adoring public will be willing to pay. On July 4, you will have the new moon in Cancer, 13 degrees. Filling your house of earned income, along with that new moon, will be the Sun, Venus, and Mercury. That is a great deal of planetary power focused in one part of the chart, and that should give you heart to take a step forward. Do so just after the new moon arrives, July 4, not before – you will have ten days in which to act. I love that Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will be in ideal angle to this new moon, suggesting you can get that increase, for when Jupiter is involved, profit and money are usually always around the next corner.
I love that Mars is also in an ideal position, and Mars is located in your workaday sixth house, the place in the chart that covers assignments and projects that you will be asked to do, or that you create yourself. In your case, with Mars so sublimely angled in even tighter mathematical aspect than Jupiter (I am splitting hairs here), it shows that business will be brisk and money will flow, another sign that you will be surrounded with a healthy financial atmosphere.
Mars had been retrograde since April, and only recently, on June 29, went direct. Now you will see a great blast of energy around you – people will be decisive, projects will be funded, and you will no longer feel as though you are struggling to push against headwinds. The wind is with your sails, dear Gemini, and it’s forward-ho from now on. Neptune, in your house of fame and honors, will be perfectly positioned too, so your career will do well at this time, and your face may be “out there” for all to see, so the buzz will be positive about you.
You may say you have a million reasons why you think this would not be the right time to ask for a raise, but I say, it’s the time now to increase your income, or be content to wait a full year until you get the next new moon in your second house of earned income. That will be June 23, 2017, but at that time next year, Saturn will be very close to an exact opposition to the new moon, so your chances of getting a decent increase next year will be diminished. This doesn’t mean you can’t get any raise in mid-2017, only that it will be harder for you to do than it will this year, and so next year you will have to be more persuasive. Why wait?

On Friday, July 8, your guardian planet, Mercury, will combine energy with Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, making this day superb for all kinds of communication. Jupiter and the Sun will be in cahoots, and this is incredibly good news for you. Use this to announce any home, property, or family matter.
The theme of money will intensify at the full moon in Capricorn, 28 degrees, on July 19. This one will bring to culmination a matter that involved a very large sum of money. It could be that some time ago you borrowed (or withdrew) a large sum to invest in your business, for example, and if so, that investment will now come to culmination. Or, at this full moon, you may borrow money, such as a large mortgage or line of credit, or get infusion of venture capital. Or, you may get news that you will be making quite a bit of money by commission, bonus, royalty, cash advance, inheritance, court settlement, divorce agreement, or other source. This month’s new and full moon will truly be all about money – spending it, making it, investing it, and seeing profit.
I like this full moon because again (just like at that full moon) Jupiter will be acting like Miracle-Gro plant food – making your venture expand much more than you would assume possible. (Jupiter is at 20 degrees and the full moon is at 28 – Jupiter is just close enough to help.)
Even better, the full moon will conjoin Pluto, adding a great deal of power and force to the full moon and the episode you are dealing with at the time. You seem to be talking about very big sums at this time – Pluto doesn’t mess around with small amounts. If you are a woman, the moon is always read as feminine in astrology, so you should feel in charge – Pluto will see to that. If you are a man, you will set the tone and call the shots at any meeting or financial event you have on the agenda. This seems to be a win-win situation. Again, Mars will be in sublime angle – very tightly angled to this full moon from the work projects house, giving energy and push to all you are doing.
The only fly in the oatmeal will be Uranus, in hard angle to this full moon, adding an element of an unexpected, out-of-the-blue challenge. Uranus rules your ninth house, and that area covers legal matters, the media (in terms of a publishing, broadcasting or Internet projects), academia, and long-distance travel. Something seems to rise up, but it would be impossible to guess what that would be – that is the nature of Uranus. It may have nothing to do with the financial talks you are having, or it might. Uranus is in your friendship house, so it’s possible the news might instead involve a friend.
There is one more aspect to note before the month is out, and it’s a sweet one. July 26 brings your ruling planet, Mercury, in Leo in a sparkling angle to Uranus in Aries. You may take an unexpected trip near this date, perhaps to see a friend (or to be with one). This might be a week where you will be able to take a few days off, and if so, this would be a lovely day to travel. August will be wonderful for you, especially for travel, and you will get a glimpse of just how sweet next month will be in July’s last week.

This is your month to design exactly as you please. How glorious that prospect must be for you! It’s been a long time since you’ve had control over the course of events, and now, in July, you do. There is a certain feeling of luxury in that thought, so let it come over you like the warm sunshine. Let go of everyday cares for a little bit so that you can enjoy thinking about all of life’s possibilities. It’s time to reach out and pluck the plum from the tree – it is yours for the taking.
As you begin the month, planets have migrated into your sign, including the new moon July 4 in Cancer 13 degrees, the Sun, Venus, and Mercury. The main focus of the new moon will be on partnerships, both romantic and business in nature. It’s time to decide whether you want to take steps to formalize the alliance. Some dear Cancers will get engaged or married now, while others will draw up papers to make a business partnership official. If you have been very unhappy, things may come to the breaking point by the full moon, July 19. I will tell you about that full moon too. It has many sweet elements to it, so don’t be concerned. All things will work to your favor this month, although there might be a moment or two when you doubt me. Later, however, in hindsight, you will see how fervently the universe worked to further your interests.
This new moon of July 4 is complex in that it has some supremely strong and positive elements to it, but some drawbacks too. Go slowly – August may be a better month to sign papers. Let’s have a close look. On the happy side, Neptune will be supporting Mercury, the moon and Sun, sharpening your imagination and stirring your originality. What a wonderful time the days that follow that new moon would be to focus on a creative project, or to daydream about the new changes you’d like to bring to your life.
Venus will be in Cancer until July 11 and will make you sparkle at any gathering. At the same time, Jupiter, from his perch in Virgo, is currently in your travel sector, and will bring happy experiences while going short distances. Be spontaneous and enjoy a sense of freedom that you’ve not quite felt in a long time.
Mars will be in the ideal position to help you, too, as Mars will be in fellow water sign Scorpio, and in that position, happy as a little bug nestled in a rug, sending shimmering beams to Venus, making early July a warm, loving, and sexy time. You will have considerable appeal, and if you are not aware of the effect you are having on others, you may be bewildered by the attention you get. That’s a lovely problem others would like to have!
On the other hand, Pluto will oppose this new moon, and if you are married and your mate has acted in a stubborn, domineering way, this new moon might give you a clue about mounting tensions that might spill over later, by the time you get to the full moon, July 19, two weeks later. See how things go – I will discuss that full moon in a second, but trust that the full moon will have sweet elements to it, too. The person in your environment that Pluto will be pointing to this month might not be your mate or steady lover, but rather, your agent, manager, business partner, or other professional collaborator who is being disagreeable and even dictatorial. Dealing with Pluto to reach some semblance of compromise is nearly impossible, for Pluto takes no prisoners and uses a scorched earth method of negotiation.
Another different possibility to this trend brought on by Pluto is that this person may not be a business or romantic partner, but rather a competitor who will use unfair tactics in an attempt to steal large chunks of your market share. This person would be operating out in the open, not hidden in the shadows, so at least you can see what is going on. I know you’re laughing – “Yeah, that doesn’t sound like a plus!” but dear Cancer, it is, for you won’t have to guess what this person is doing behind your back. You will see the actions clearly and out in the open, and then you can decide what to do. Cancer is a fiercely intuitive sign, so use the insight your inner voice will whisper to you to your advantage.
If your birthday falls on July 4, plus or minus four days, then you will feel this new moon very directly, with both the lovely support of Neptune, Jupiter, and Mars, and the possible frustrations you may feel from a partner or a competitor.
As you see there is a complexity to this new moon, but only if you have someone who seems like a pushy, my-way-or-the-highway Pluto person in your life.
The romantic elements are very strong in the first ten days of July. Cancer is a reserved sign, and as a rule does not seek a lot of attention, but this month, attention and affection could easily find you. This would be the most magical weekend of the month to travel, and it may be one of the best of the season. So much will go your way this weekend – it’s due to be that sweet. Mercury rules communication and commerce, so you may get a message that thrills you, or you may buy something very special. If this is your birthday, the joy that you feel over of this weekend could set up a theme of happiness that will follow you throughout your entire birthday year.
As promised, I will now talk about the full moon in your opposite sign of Capricorn, 28 degrees, that is set to light your house of commitment, marriage, and serious partnerships. The tables seem to turn by the time of this full moon. The full moon will be conjunct Pluto, so by now you appear to be ready to stand up to anyone who is giving you a hard time. Let’s not forget the moon rules Cancer, so the position of the moon is vital to seeing your forecast each month.
Mars will be very supportive, and so will Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. Pluto will be too far away to give you problems, but Uranus will act up too, by being in exact hard aspect to the Sun, so you may encounter some sort of turbulence in your career. It will likely involve a higher-up or client that causes you to feel thrown off balance by something that comes up unexpectedly. Or, it may be that conditions in the company are changing suddenly, and news will require you to make a sudden adjustment. Wear your armor. There will be no way to anticipate what or who will surface, so stay on your toes and be as flexible as you can be. We will all feel this, no matter what our signs, so go with the flow and do your best.
If instead it turns out to be a competitor that will give you pause, then you will have enough planetary power to deal with that person at the full moon. In the complex month, Pluto will still be within tight range of a gorgeous trine to Jupiter, a lovely and rare aspect denoting enormous potential for profit and gain. This will be true all month, not just at the time of the full moon, and may explain why you are trying to stay with this partner. It appears you need the opportunities or financing this person can bring to you, but at the same time, you might find the process of dealing with this person maddening.
As you see nothing is exactly straightforward this month, but then again, that can be positive. Because aspects are not all bad means you have plenty of planetary help to call on when you need it. The Sun back in Cancer should help, too! Although what happens from Pluto may not be fair at all times, if you bide your time and quietly build a strategy, you can eventually win.
If your birthday falls on or near July 19-29, plus or minus four days, you will feel this full moon the most. However, if you have a birthday that falls on July 4, plus or minus three days, you will feel the effects of Pluto the most. If that is you, then you may have to talk over what is upsetting you and have ready several ideas of how to make things better. (I always feel coming into a meeting with only one idea is a dangerous – you need several. After all, you have the attention of the person you are talking with, so you might as well make the most of the meeting by showing your resourcefulness. It is the only way you will be able to win or to at least get to accord.)
This full moon is mainly harmonious, but like everything this month, the sentiments in the air will be a little mixed.
I love that Jupiter will be friendly to this full moon within the 8-degree limit, close enough to be of enormous help. Jupiter in his position in the third house will give you the words to say, or, if you are working with your lawyer, to find the right clauses to put in a contract. Mars will be in ideal position again too, softening the effects of Pluto.

Leo (July 23- August 22)

All indications are that this should be a quiet month where you can be highly productive, without fear that the usual distractions will pull you off course. Mars is now speeding direct, having been retrograde since April 17, and recently normalized orbit on June 29. You will find that the pace of life will soon pick up, for Mars is the energy planet that ascertains that ventures are ready to go and properly launched.
Mars has been languishing in your home and family sector even before Mars went retrograde April 17, so if you’ve tried to buy, sell, or lease new property, you may not been enthusiastic about your options – you now you have a better chance of finding your dream space or getting the right price. The furniture you may need might be readily found as well, possibly at an attractive bargain price during July sales. Mars, in Scorpio and your fourth house of home and family, is now striving toward getting back to full, former strength, and that process will happen by August 22. You don’t have to wait that long – you seem to have waited long enough – so gradually start to put your home and welfare of your family back as a top priority in your schedule.
If you have tried to find the right roommate or tenant, to no avail, your chances of finding the right person has just shot skyward – keep looking. You can schedule the painters; do repairs; de-clutter; buy new furniture, a mattress, new linens, and accessories; or have your rugs shampooed and the windows washed. By the time you get to the year-end holidays, you will be all set, ready to welcome guests. Aim to finish off your list by the time the month is out. If you cannot, you will have another option at the new moon October 30.
You will have all of July to search for the right home-related options. Mars will re-enter Sagittarius from August 2, a zodiac sign it’s been in most of the year, and will fill your fifth house of true love in August and September, making your outlook for romance quite excellent for the first time in many months. Previously Mars was lighting your true love sector, but was debilitated – now it’s stronger and gathering even greater strength.
In the meantime, on another topic, many planets in Cancer will be filling your twelfth house, indicating that you will be in static mode for an important initiative you are about to take on. You seem not ready to show (or even talk about) the project you are working on, but may be able to do so quickly after the Sun moves into Leo on July 22. An even better time to reveal all will be after the glorious new moon August 2.
This month you will have the new moon in Cancer 13 degrees on July 4, the Sun, Venus, and Mercury, all gathering in your twelfth house, and each in water signs (significant). Not only will the Sun and Jupiter be in ideal harmony, but Pluto will be in sync with Jupiter too at the same time, a rare aspect indicating you could see a project grow into quite a highly successful venture. Part of the reason for the Jack-and-the-Beanstalk growth will be because you are thinking in big, grand terms, and also because you have the managerial skill and smarts to get it done to perfection.
The full moon, July 19, at 28 degrees in Capricorn, will have you finishing a project that will likely bring you good money now or later. Pluto will be in perfect angle to the full moon, so you will be quite the leader of the team, making sure every detail is right. Jupiter will be well angled, so you can make money from this assignment if self-employed, but if you work for others, your fine performance will be noted and you may see a raise as soon as the eclipse September 1.
This same full moon may bring a health matter to finality, and you seem to be around medical people, for yourself or a beloved relative or friend. If it is you, you may see the end to a protocol of treatments or of a series of physical therapy, or you may simply begin to feel better after you get certain medicine.
As you know (if you read Twitter), I have been very seriously ill with severe bleeding in my intestines for two years, since April 2014, that came up suddenly and without warning. Doctors were ready to take out all my intestines in three operations two months apart. Then, on a full moon like you have now, they tried a new, just Federal Drug Administration-approved drug that they infused in my arm. They said it would take a few months to work. I was skeptical, and estimated it would take until February to work. When February dawned and I wasn’t quite well enough yet, I was ready to give up – but by February’s end, a complete recovery occurred. I started my first infusion of the medicine on a full moon in my health sector, and it was a positive, friendly full moon like you will have July 19, influential plus or minus four days. You see, there is always reason for hope. They say my recovery is miraculous.
