Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Last month, and possibly the month before, was a month when change was likely to take place, because two eclipses came by, both friendly, including a lunar eclipse on February 10 and solar new moon eclipse February 26. All eclipses, even happy ones, require adjustments, because eclipses are one of the universe’s favorite ways to create change.

As you begin March, you will still have the privilege of Mars, your ruler, in Aries until March 9. If you have a plan to initiate something truly important, do so in the month’s first eight days. This timing applies to starting an important relationship too, in love or business. You will be ultra-magnetic and persuasive, and others will want to follow you wherever you go. Mars will be orbiting close to Venus in Aries, a rare event, in very early March too, indicating that your sex appeal will reach new heights. If single, circulate but keep interaction light. It’s not the time to get heavily involved with anyone just yet. Venus will begin to retrograde on March 4 and remain that way until April 15. Venus will take time to reach former strength – until May 18.

So be conservative before rushing into a relationship without knowing one another well. Also, avoid making any big changes to your appearance, for with Venus retrograde, you may not like the results. Of course, you can keep up grooming, but it’s not the time for dramatic changes to your hair color or to schedule plastic surgery. Collect advice, build a folder, and take time to decide on your choices later. Once Venus goes direct, this planet of love and good looks will stay in Aries until June 6 and will be in the best position for you from May 18 to June 6.

In love, while Venus is retrograde, you may go back to an old lover to see if you both can make a go of things again. Honestly, the deck is slightly stacked against that happening, but you can get closure, and you may beat the odds. Do not take any permanent romantic steps at this time – let love unfold slowly like the petals of a flower. If you can, delay an engagement until the end of May. Despite all this talk of Venus retrograde, you will have fun. Mars in Taurus will blend beautifully with Venus in Aries, due to what astrologers call a mutual reception, making each planet work like the  others buddy and even changing roles with each other. You will be catnip to admirers, so stay confident, mix and mingle, but by all means, take your time.

The full moon in Virgo on March 12 will emphasize your fitness and health, and you may find you will reach a personal best in athletics or as you work with your trainer, or the full moon may bring good news about a medical test that your doctor administered. If you are prescribed a new medicine, ask about possible side effects as Neptune’s position at the full moon may fog results. If a test result seems “off” ask to have the test done again. Health matters will now reach a final point.

You will also find that you are working on a deadline at the office, and will finish it within the four days that follow this full moon March 12. This project has lots of detail, so you will have to slow down and make sure your piece is well researched and double checked for accuracy.

With four planets stacked in your twelfth house mid-month, you might be feeling unusually prescient, so follow those hunches. Your intuition will be given to you to protect you, and will give you night vision to clarify a puzzling situation. Aries is not typically known to have psychic episodes, but this month you may. Write down an important dream if you have one, and find a friend to dissect it with you to get to the meaning.

The new moon on March 27 has your name written all over it. The Sun, new moon, Venus, Uranus and Mercury will be in Aries – that is remarkable, for that adds up to having half our solar system cruising in your sign – and those heavenly bodies will put you in the lead. You will have control over events and relationships, and things will likely go your way. This could be a landmark month, for Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, is now in your marriage house, and you may be making a promise to the one you love, such as to get engaged or wed near your birthday. If you are already wed, you can draw up an exciting blueprint of a future goal with your one-and-only.

There is more to cheer about. Starting earlier, on March 9 through April 21, Mars, your ruler (always an indicator to where your attention will be drawn), will be in practical Taurus, and because Mars will contact Pluto in your house of fame, you will be impressing VIPs with your work and vision. You may see more money in your paycheck too, as a result of this aspect, and your title may be expanded as well. (Mars and Pluto will be close enough to be in significant aspect at month’s end, and will hit perfection on April 6.)

You seem to have it all this month, dear Aries. With Venus and Mars in your sign in early month, you will be catnip to admirers.

Taurus (April 20- May 20)

Your friends will be very much on your mind as you begin March, for you just came through a friendly solar eclipse that appeared on February 26. You may have recently joined a new club, or taken on a responsibility for a charity fundraiser. If you work in publicity or party planning, your visions and creative ideas will surprise you and all who surround you. Your sense of style and beauty will be especially evident now. Contribute ideas, for it appears that this past eclipse was an important indicator of a new direction you will be taking soon. It will involve your role in a humanitarian project or other group effort. You may be making plans with a friend about an important venture you are about to take together. Solar eclipses open new paths, so you are on that new path now. You may also find you are socializing much more than usual in weeks and months ahead. If you are an author or for other reasons have a community of followers, they will become important to you now.

Something highly important to you will happen on March 4, the turn of your ruling planet, Venus, retrograde until April 15. This is not the time to take daring moves in regard to your looks or in regard to any project that emphasizes beauty and design, such as the creation of a website or book. Venus rules women, so if you work in an industry that caters to women, such as the cosmetic or perfume industry as an example, you will need to hold off.

In love, with your ruler out of phase, you would be best not to put a strong accent on romance for the time being. Spend time thinking about what you’d like to see happen in your love life, and if you feel you’re not ready or willing to socialize, that’s fine. Don’t let friends tell you that you should date if you are not ready to do so. If you are ready, then do go out, but proceed slowly. Venus retrograde will also give you the ideal time to adjust the pace of a close relationship, to speed it up, or slow it down, as you see fit.

Romance and a relationship will be a strong focus at the full moon, March 12, in Virgo, a sign that blends beautifully with yours. Pluto will be friendly to this full moon, so you may have a very tender romantic experience within four days of this date. It is also likely you will be traveling to a distant location at mid-month. Neptune, the planet that is said to be the higher octave of Venus, will have the power to bring love to a great richness of feeling, so much so that you may be ready to sacrifice something for yourself so that your beloved will benefit. Putting your beloved first is the true meaning of love.

The fact that Mars is about to move into Taurus is perhaps the very best news possible. This will occur on March 9 and remain in your sign until April 21. This will put you in the lead and tend to give you a very high level of success in the new ventures you will enter into in the third week of May, when Venus, your ruler, will be back to full power. With Mars in your sign this month and most of April, you will show strong determination, drive, and passion, and others will want to follow you wherever you lead them. This will be one of your most powerful periods of 2017 for you, so plan to launch all the initiations that are dearest to your heart in late May. (Keep in mind that Mercury will retrograde April 9 to May 3, and you don’t want to tangle with that aspect planet, as it tends to make things go haywire.

At the new moon in Aries on March 27, you will crave rest. You will do best by working behind closed doors, alone, in an environment of privacy. You will get an enormous amount of work done and be exceptionally creative, bringing you a great feeling of pride in all that you’ve achieved. This same time would be the right time to see a coach or therapist about a habit you’d like to give up or a problem that has been troubling you. You’d get special insight and may trigger a eureka moment that puts you on a new path.

From March 9 until April 21, Venus and Mars will be in what astrologers call a mutual reception. This happens rarely – each of the two planets has to be in the sign the other planet rules. This month, Venus will be in Aries, the sign Mars rules. Mars will be in Taurus, the sign Venus rules. This mutual reception will allow each planet to help the other in a profound way and together add considerably to your charm and outstanding attractiveness.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

You start the month with big changes going on in your career, triggered by the recent solar eclipse, February 26. That eclipse is still bringing news of shifts now and in months ahead. All changes will be positive, so go with them and don’t be tempted to resist. You will have no reason to duck change – embrace it. You will have more say in what will occur in your career than you assume, and your creative thinking will be working overtime. Voice ideas as they come to you, for Neptune will be orbiting near the top of the pinnacle of your chart giving you presence and gravitas. Your face may be on TV or “out there” in magazines, Internet websites, social media, blogs, Instagram, or newspapers.

Friends are holding the keys to a plethora of surprises for you, so keep your schedule open and flexible, for exciting social opportunities will come up in early March, and you’ll want to be and part of all the fun that bubbles up.

Also in early month, money may arrive in your bank account in one large sum, not parsed out like salary, such as from a bonus, commission, insurance payout, or as a bank loan, court settlement, venture capital, or mortgage. This money will emanate from outside your regular earned income and comes from a collaboration of Saturn (savings, prudent money management) and Uranus (innovation, creative use of new technology). These two planets will give you hints of how to increase your income.

A lot will be going on in your life this month, for the full moon will put an emphasis on family, home, or other property that you might be focused on. Saturn will be at hard angle, so you may need to take on the responsibility for the well-being of a family member, or alternatively, you may have an expense regarding your living space. Don’t fret, though, for Pluto, in your house of other people’s money (i.e., loans, mortgage, inheritance, and other such sources), suggests you have more than enough cash to cover any unexpected costs.

Venus will go retrograde on March 4 until April 15, so this is month will not be the time to try an experimental dermatological treatment or plastic surgery, or to change your hair color from brunette to platinum blonde, as a few examples. You can, of course, keep up with regular grooming – the universe does not want you to be a little ragamuffin – just avoid making radical moves. Venus governs all things beautiful, including your face. When Venus sleeps in retrograde, she can’t protect you, and therefore cannot ensure you’ll have the happy results you want to a major change you might make to your appearance. Venus rules Gemini’s fifth house of true love, too, so hold off on an engagement until you get closer to your birthday.

Venus is about to go direct on April 15, but it will take Venus until May 18 to ramp up to former strength. Any type of design or beautification project, or romantic move, would be best instituted after May 18. Your best period in 2017 will be when Mars tours Gemini AND Venus will be moving direct speed, a golden, rare period that will span from May 21 to June 4.

After almost two months of concentration on your career, the universe will provide you balance in terms of fun and lively social activity. The new moon of March 27 will bring new friends to your circle and opportunities to be with large numbers of people. With the new moon, Sun, Uranus (surprise), Mercury (your ruler), and Venus (albeit retrograde, but still somewhat functional) in Aries, you will have half the solar system in your eleventh house of friends, fun, and new contacts. Additionally, you may take on a role in a charity or attend a fundraiser where you’ll meet many stimulating self-made people while you help your favorite cause.

No matter what is on your agenda in late March, make sure you give yourself a break from high-pressure stress. You’ve worked hard; now give yourself time to unwind and relax. Mars will move into Taurus on March 9, and will also promote the idea that it is time to let go and hibernate a little bit. If you work behind closed doors this month, you’ll become impressively creative. By the time you get to the end of May, you’ll be moving at the speed of light. You need to be ready for that busy period, so for now give yourself permission to be in a peaceful place whenever the mood strikes.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

As you enter March, you may be planning to travel a great distance, for work or for pleasure. The emphasis on foreign people and places will be very strong for you, so it looks like you’ll either be jetting to a location far from home this month, or planning to have such a trip soon. A long trip would be good for you too, especially if you choose a place near water or snow, as you have a buildup of planets in Pisces, ruling that kind of setting. If you cannot travel, you may be working on an international project that you will enjoy doing, and you may not have to leave home to do it, collaborating through email and telephone. The project you work on this month might involve publishing or broadcasting – and if so, it will be right up your ally.

If you need to address an immigration matter, whether for visa, green card, passport, or citizenship, you have plenty of support early in March, so make your appointments without delay.

Your career has brought surprises in recent years, but perhaps especially recently at last month’s new moon solar eclipse, February 26. If your Cancer birthday falls in June, last month’s eclipse was especially strong and beneficial, and sudden news is likely to have been welcome. If you are not sure the news was actually working to your benefit, give it time. You will see events at the end of February and in March that will work to your benefit. Mars has been in a rare tour of your tenth house of fame and honors, last month indicating that this is one of your best periods in two years to aim to accomplish impressive career advancement. You’ve had Mars in this area through February and will continue to have Mars there during the first eight days of March, and then Mars will leave. Take career action in early March before you lose the red planet’s energy.

Travel will again come up on the full moon March 12, but this time is likely a trip closer to home. That tiny quick trip seems business-oriented. Saturn will be in hard angle to the full moon and to the planet of travel, Mercury, so be prepared – this trip will require you to complete a goal, and you’ll be under pressure to do so. However, Virgo is a sign that blends perfectly with yours, so you have the smarts to get things done to your liking. A partner will be an asset to you now.

You appear to be in line for surprising news about your status in the company and will hear after the new moon of March 27. The work you will be doing is very entrepreneurial and will bring you down a new road that you’ve not been down before. In that respect, it will be quite fascinating and bring you experience you will be glad you got under your belt. Still you seem to be under pressure, for Pluto will still be within range. Either a collaborator or partner is being difficult or you will need to compete for the job, amid a field of fierce candidates. Don’t underestimate them – some will do almost anything to get the plum job you are aiming to be awarded. Prepare for every interview carefully and have impressive show-and-tell evidence that shows you’re a thinker and leader.

Venus will retrograde on March 4 and remain so until April 15, and not resume normal speed until May 18. Venus rules your solar fourth house of home, so if you are about to buy or sell a house or condo, or rent a space, be careful – Venus will not be working to help you, and actually may hamper your progress. For example, find out what the seller is not likely telling you by hiring a seasoned inspector. It would be best to make your deal after May 18. (Along with Venus retrograde, Mercury will be retrograde too, from April 9 to May 3, so there are many reasons to hold back on real estate matters.

With all the emphasis on career and travel, you may long to have time for fun too, and you will! Mars is heading into Taurus on March 9, to remain there until April 21. You’ve not enjoyed the jovial effect of having Mars fill your eleventh house of friends, fun, people, and events for two years, so this will seem new and lovely. Socializing will bring a nice balance to your busy life in March, dear Cancer. On March 27, Mars and Neptune will align, and bring all sorts of exciting experiences by traveling. Go to visit a friend in a distant city, or travel together with a friend to a place that inspires your imagination.

Leo (July 23- August 22)

March will be the best moment of 2017 to do financial management. Just a few days earlier, last month on February 26, you experienced a solar eclipse in your eighth house of other people’s money, indicating you may be receiving a large, one-time payment of cash. It may have come as a bonus, commission, insurance payout, gift, sale of an artistic creation, an inheritance, game show prize, college scholarship or financial aid, or another source. Or your windfall could alternatively come as a major loan, infusion of venture capital or as a jumbo mortgage. No matter what source the money will emanate from, it will likely allow you to fulfill a dream you’ve long held in your heart.

You may be finished with your financial calculations by the full moon March 12. Pluto will be helpful, and it seems that you will have special luck with government and other institutional grants and sources of funding. If you were doing your taxes at this time, you may owe less than you assumed or may even qualify for a refund.

Mars will begin to circulate in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement from March 9 to April 21, a key time to get the eye of a VIP and ask about opportunities for advancement. You have a bit of a conundrum, however, in that Venus, the planet that rules your tenth house of fame, prestige, and honors, will be retrograde during the same time, from March 4 to April 15.

During this time, you may be offered a position but decide not to take it because it may not feel right for you or because the timing might be off. Or, a person from your past may come to you who you almost worked with once, but did not come to agreement – in that case you might resume those talks now. Generally, however, it’s best not to commit to anything new just yet. You can explore possibilities, but you would be wise to put off a final decision until after May 18, the date Venus will not only be direct but also be back to former strength.

A potentially tough day will be on March 17 when the Sun, your ruler, will be in hard angle to Saturn, the latter now touring your romantic sector, and also ruling your creative efforts. Don’t take risks in love, and physically, don’t overdo, for your energy may be low or your emotions a bit drained. If an authority figure that you admire criticizes you, take it as a tip for how to do better work, but don’t allow this person to torpedo your self-esteem.

Travel may be the most fun part of the month, and even though it appears to be done for business, it certainly will be refreshing. Triggered by the new moon, March 27, you will have five heavenly bodies in your ninth house of international relationships: the Sun (authority), the new moon (opportunity), Venus (fun), Uranus (spontaneity, surprise), and Mercury (news). This indicates you will have a lot of emphasis on travel or intense discussions with people abroad, very possibly who work in media. You may be writing or producing a story, or be the subject of it, and either way, that attention will raise your profile and add to your reputation. The fires of love will be fanned by travel too in late month, so if the opportunity strikes, take it.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

This month, March brings the Sun as far away from Virgo as is possible, so it marks your “winter” as it is a time when it is hard for you to feel the Sun’s warmth. Until the Sun loops around its elliptical orbit at the end of this month and starts its journey back to your birthday time in September – a stretch of six months – you will do best to work collaboratively. At times, you may feel voted down on certain key topics, or that competitors are being aggressive and impossible to cajole. If you feel competitors becoming aggressive, it will not be your imagination, so you will do best by keeping alert, being a team player, and being willing to carry out the ideas of the group without being tempted to take a stand. The deck is temporarily stacked against you acting alone, but only for now. It’s very possible that you were right all along, but for now you must let others have their time in the Sun.

In your personal life, with the Sun, new moon solar eclipse of February 26 still strong, Neptune, and Mercury crowded in your house of partnership and commitment, you may get engaged or married. A friendly solar eclipse lit your marriage, partnership and commitment sector of your chart on February 26. If you are already committed, you may decide ways to do something more with your union to make it grow and flourish. Alternatively, if you are not married, or even close to exchanging rings and promises, you may instead decide to make a business partnership official.

Keep in mind that Neptune will be very close to the Sun in your house of serious commitments and alliances, so you may be making a union based on impressions and assumptions, but not on complete information. Take your time and know your partner well before you make any move.

Mars will tour your eighth house of money during the first nine days of March, indicating you have been focusing on money management. You may be having meetings with your financial advisor or accountant about how to make your savings grow at a faster clip, or to hear about legal deductions you can take advantage of on your taxes. You seem to have already had a surprise expense or large influx of cash – or both. If this has not happened yet, one or both events may occur in the first days of March. Uranus, the planet of surprise, will be next to Mars in March’s first week the reason for the wide swings possible, either favorable or unfavorable. With Uranus, you never know which way things will go, for it is the wild card of the solar system.

Your own interests will be at the center of the stage at the full moon in Virgo on March 12. Pluto in Capricorn will be in ideal angle to the full moon and Sun, allowing for full and complete a transformational personal experience. At this time, something dearly important to you will reach culmination and finish. To have powerhouse Pluto on your side is quite an advantage, and doubly so if your birthday falls on or very close to September 14. This full moon will be made for you.

The end of the month brings a new moon in Aries on March 27, a good time to be discussing an entrepreneurial idea. You have a crowd of planets in your eighth house that rules one-time influx of money, such as an infusion of venture capital, an insurance payout, a large sum of back child support, divorce or other court cash settlement, a tax refund, student financial aid, grant, inheritance, mortgage, or other bank loan. The point is this is unusual funding that will allow you to find a way to get the money to fund a dream. Alternatively, you may be given the green light to move ahead on a creative project. Whatever occurs at this time will happen suddenly, without warning. Thankfully, Mars in Taurus will partner in harmony with Pluto in Capricorn, a sign that money could be on the way to you if you do your research and prepare an accurate business plan.

Travel is indicated, but might bring obstacles. Venus rules your solar ninth house of travel, but Venus will go retrograde from March 4 to April 15. This suggests that the purpose of your trip, whether business-financial or romantic-relaxation, will not reach its mark. This period would also not be the time to do any major changes to your appearance, whether plastic surgery, a radical change in hair color, or new but untried dermatological treatment. Venus will ramp up to full power weeks after this planet of beauty and grace goes direct – on May 18. Libra (September 23 – October 22)

You start March with a full plate of things to do, for you have Neptune, Mercury, the Sun, and new moon solar eclipse of February 26 in your projects and workaday sector. In the case of the eclipse, the opportunities arising from that solar eclipse are still strong and plentiful. That’s a lot of planetary energy there, and you may get a new assignment, freelance work, or if self-employed, new business. Both home and at work, your list will grow. New assignments will flow in, goals will progress, and through it all, luck will be on your side. You may see a major change in personnel – a new housekeeper, a new assistant, co-worker, or other person you hire or work along with may now change, but you will easily find a replacement and be energized by the new person. Creative projects will be outstandingly favored.

Your ruler, Venus, will go retrograde from March 4 to April 15, so you might have a change of heart concerning a romantic partner, or put plans you’ve drawn up together on a back burner due to outside conditions. In March’s first week, both Venus and Mars are in your partnership sector, a lovely romantic vibration, but Uranus, the planet of surprise, is there too, so any switch in plans or feelings would arise suddenly. Any plans having to do with funding or money management will also be up for reconsideration.

Retrograde planets give us time to go back and fix things that went wrong, or that we feel should be adjusted due to current conditions. If you are in the middle of a breakup in love or business, the negotiation of the settlement may reach a temporary impasse during this period. Venus retrograde will ask you to reconsider your stance, as well as your decisions and impending moves. Get advice, and reflect quietly – don’t rush. This is not a time to give a big expensive party or charity fundraiser, and if considering engagement, wait if you can.

Do not make any radical moves involving your appearance in March or April either. While you will still be able to take care of routine grooming, such as touchups and trims, avoid going from blonde to redhead, for example, and put off plastic surgery and new types of skin treatments. Venus will go direct April 15, but will take until May 18 to reach former strength. Keep in mind that Venus is your ruler, so the meetings and greetings of Venus to other planets that occur every month will always affect you more than most. It is a time to review and assess, not launch or push forward.

Mars will move into Taurus on March 9 until April 21, a time when you may be spending more money than usual. You may have planned to make certain payments, such as a deposit on a vacation house rental, or a deposit on school or camp for your child. If you have not planned any big outlays of cash, be conservative in spending until you have a solid view of the lay of the land. If you are in the process of trying to divide assets at the end of a business or marriage, talks may become contentious with Mars in this area, so do all you can to keep things calm. You are due to make better progress just after the new moon, April 26.

On March 12, the full moon will light your twelfth house of privacy, a good time to focus on projects you will need to get done without distraction. At this time of the month, you can be remarkably productive while working alone. Saturn will be in hard angle, a clear reflection of the important work you are doing and the responsibility you have on your shoulders. You can excel under these aspects if you remain realistic and objective.

In the days that follow the new moon of March 27, if you have been having problems finding accord with a partner in love or business, you might see some evidence of a softening and thawing of talks in your negotiation. The road might not be exactly easy, however, for Pluto will be pulling at Mercury and Uranus – you will still face obstacles. This may be precisely why you are excited about it, and why you are hoping to be part of this venture or relationship – it is exciting and new and why you are so happy about taking it on. Still, Saturn will ask you to go by the book, so know the rules of this relationship in love or business. In love, you’ll need to be willing to give as well as you get. Follow the whisperings of your heart, as it will reliably point you in the right direction.

Keep in the forefront of your mind that you have Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, in Libra, a major advantage, for you are the celestial favorite. It takes Jupiter twelve years to revolve around the Sun, so this is a rare, beneficial period for you. Even though this month you may feel a bit out of control and out voted by others, Jupiter is protecting you. Use your intuition, for this month it will be important for you to move slowly – your intuition will give you special night vision, so you will see clearly what is not seen by others. Moves you make now may have to be redone completely later.

Mercury will retrograde April 9 to May 3, and Venus will be retrograde March 5 to April 15. While all planets retrograde, we feel the planets that are closest to earth: Mercury, Mars, and Venus. (Mars is not retrograde but the other two are the problematic ones.) For that reason, for now, there is no reason to push forward. You are being given a golden opportunity to stop, look, and listen before making a commitment. You are laying the foundation for a better future, dear Libra. All the thinking you are doing now will pay off in just a few months.
